Move over Michael Phelps, hello Mr Smooth

By robin

phelpsOne of the hardest things to do is analyse your own swim stroke. Since the majority of the stroke is effected under water, even having a coach or well meaning friend poolside does not guarantee that you will be able to dissect all the elements of your stroke. Unless you have access to under water camera’s and other such devices you will always have an element of assumption factored into the equation.

So we are left with trying to mimic the stroke of great champions like Michael Phelps, Grant Hackett and Ian Thorpe. The problem is that even the under water footage of these greats is not perfectly clear on your computer or TV screen and each of them has a unique element (flaw) that they have made work for to their advantage. Enter Mr Smooth, who swims a perfect text book stroke every time and best of all he will keep going all day and all night without fatiguing.

mrsmoothSure it would be better to have your own footage to compare this to but with the advances in waterproof handy cams, it won’t be long before you can sit and compare your stroke any time you like.

The console is also nice for coaches trying to show their athletes what they should be doing without having to dry land swim around the pool to the amusement of those in the spin/aerobics studio.

Go check out www.swimsmooth.com and download the Mr Smooth console and start analysing your stroke. What have you got to lose?
